Inauguration of the First Underground Railway in the UK (1863)

Development of the first underground railway in the UK (10 january 1863), is one of the stages of evolution of railway fire in the country. For the first time in the history of the country inaugurated the subways with the world's first passenger. In the beginning in the mid-19th century around 1830 as a development scheme was aimed at handling the traffic flow arrangements train there, where an increase in passenger service at that time which led to London railway line becomes very crowded.
After the proposed scheme in 1830, then in 1854 a parliamentary legislation was passed to approve the construction of underground railway station that connects between Paddington Station and Farringdon Street street which is also called metropolitan rail. The project ultimately received funding from the Great Western Railway (GWR), with an agreement that the project will connect the lines underground with their main line of Paddington.
The concept of construction of railway lines underground is not apart from the suggestion of a visionary "Charles Pearson" the proposed demolition of slums path that will soon be replaced with the construction of a new accommodation for their residents, which made rail as a path that can connect those working in downtown.
Building work started in February 1860, under the guidance of Architecture "John Fowler". for 3-year construction project was finally completed on 10 January 1863, and at the same time construction is inaugurated, until within a few months the number of passengers to reach 26,000 people a day.
