January 19th, 1915 (neon tube patented by George Claude)

The theory of the lights or neon tubes have been there before the invention of electricity, that is, when French astronomer Jean Picard observed a dim light in the mercury tube. The tube is generating light when the tube is given a shock, but the origin of static electricity that caused the light of the lamp is not yet known.

Then after the discovery of electricity adanyya some scientists discovered many theories about this neon tube, then in 1855 a German physicist "Heinrich Geisler" find a tube called Geisler tube. tube that will give off light when the tube was given gas and pressure as well as electrified, then many scientists who use these tubes as a test tube. This is a new step towards the discovery of neon lights in the future.

Neon itself comes from the Greek word "neos"which means "new", neon gas was discovered by William Ramsey and Mw Travers in 1898 , neon is one of the gases contained in air with a ratio of 1: 65.000, this neon gas can obtained with the process of "fractional distillation" is a method of separation of neon gas from other gases contained in the air.

On 24 September 1902, chemical engineer france "Georges Claude" conduct experiments using neon gas in the air vacuum tube, and running it with an electric current. then the results of experiments that produced results, such as what we now call the neon lights. "His discovery that obtain patents on 19th january 1915"
