First Air Balloon Flight in North America (1793)

On 9 January 1793, the first time in the history of the world performed by Blanchard's balloon flight in the skies of North America, none other than the full name Franchois Blanchard Jean pierre Blanchard is a scientist whose name is of French nationality always be remembered as a pioneer in the history of world aviation and air balloons .
His first balloon flight in North America, starting from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and landed in Deptford, Glouchester country, New Jersey. In its inaugural flight was witnessed by U.S. President George Washington. After the flight, he returned to Europe with his wife marie.
Blanchard was born on 4 July 1753 in Petit, France Andelys. His talent as a scientist has seen since he was young, this is proven by some of his work like a rat trap with a pistol, tricycles, and hydraulic pump capable of lifting water from the river as far as 122 meters to the Gaillard Cheteau siene.
He was very famous for many contributions in the history of pioneer air balloon. Like the few things he ever participated in a demonstration conducted air balloon Montgolfier brothers in 1783, in Annonay France. Blanchard also successfully performed the first balloon flight results of his own work on 2 March 1784. Then on 7 January 1785 he and Dr. John Jeffries, an American doctor, successful flight over the English Channel. Own journey from Dover in England and successfully landed in Calais France.
In the Month of February 1808, Blanchard suffered a heart attack when he did Denhaag flight in the Netherlands, the incident that he fell from a height of 50 meters. Since the incident his condition worsened and finally he died on 7 March 1809.
